Judging a Book By Its Cover

Hey, I know you aren't supposed to judge a book by its cover, but don't you think this is a pretty good start?

e great folks at The History Press for the hard work they put into crafting this lovely cover! Please let me know what you think!

We're almost there - we are shooting for a first-week-of-December publication date!

Stay tuned to this blog for details!

  1. Looks great. If The History Press can just get it into the B&N's and Borders this is a cover that should draw attention. That is assuming anybody thinks to put it face out.

  2. They did a wonderful job, I can't wait for it's release!

  3. Jim,

It's already listed on (at least the paperback version)

  4. Thanks, Guys! Will - it's GREAT to hear from you again! Thanks for checking amazon...I just saw that myself today. It will only be issued in softcover.

Robert - Thanks for the kind words. It might end up in bookstores in the South Bend area, but The History Press concentrates their marketing in more local sales - museums, gift shops, etc. They've got a terrific website and a fulltime marketing and publicity staff.

  5. Hopefully you'll get it into the ND bookstore too? Notre Dame within the past few months just created a new society for Young Alums called the "Father Corby Society" (basically the Young Alumni version of the more prestigious Sorin Society) so that along with your book should help raise awareness about ND during the Civil War.
